Tiffany was instrumental in us being able to reach a safe vaginal delivery for the patient.
I had the opportunity to work with OB nurses on a delivery of a colleague and physician employed at UHS this past weekend. I wanted to let you know that the nursing care my patient received was of the highest quality and was instrumental in making her feel safe and cared for as we moved through a longer than average second stage of labor. I wanted to compliment particularly Tiffany on the overnight shift and especially Rebecca Davis who was instrumental in us being able to reach a safe vaginal delivery for the patient. Rebecca helped the baby descend through a series of helpful interventions that included position changes and patient encouragement, teaching of pushing technique and helping get the baby's head to be more flexed, all of which led to a successful vaginal delivery with minimal perineal trauma. I was lucky and grateful to have the support, wisdom, and collaboration of such excellent nurses. I know that the patient appreciated the care, and although I have spoken with each member of the team personally to express my thanks, I wanted to let you know of their performance which went above and beyond the call of duty. I feel lucky to be able to work with this excellent team. Thanks for working so hard to help our patients get safe deliveries that allow them to feel supported and engaged in their birthing process.
