Tiffany made a difficult time so much easier by being kind, compassionate, and caring.
I am so grateful for Tiffany. After a three-day-long induction that ended in a c-section, Tiffany was my postpartum nurse for the first night after delivery. After a c-section, there are milestones a patient must accomplish and most of them are not pleasant. Tiffany helped to guide me through each hurdle with so much compassion and patience. Standing up for the first time after surgery was terrifying to me, but Tiffany offered some tips and advice for ways to make it just a bit easier. She helped guide my husband while they both helped me get out of bed for the first time, and she directed me so that I could manage my pain levels. Before standing, she was honest about what I should expect and asked what my goals were for my first steps. Later, Tiffany helped to remove my catheter and then also helped me use the restroom for the first time. None of this was enjoyable, but Tiffany’s support made it easier. Tiffany also helped me set a schedule for pain relieving medication so that I could keep my pain levels low, and she helped to communicate this plan to the next nurse so that I didn’t have to worry about asking for medication at certain times. This took so much worry and pressure off me and made recovery that much easier. Tiffany also helped to explain the different pain medications I was offered and what their benefits were so that I understood how they would help me feel better. Tiffany made a difficult time so much easier by being kind, compassionate, and caring. She truly made me feel like a human in a time when it’s very easy to feel like just another patient. I would absolutely feel blessed to have Tiffany as a nurse again!
