Tim has worked in the Emergency Department for 26 years. Our patients and families are comforted by his compassionate care and his ability to explain things in a way that they can understand. He has been recognized numerous times in our HCAHPS surveys for the extraordinary care he delivers every day. Tim is the "go to" nurse for newer nurses in the department. He serves as a preceptor and is a resource to both new and tenured staff in the ED. He is an exceptional educator to patients as well as staff. Tim is a leader in the ED and exemplifies the mission and values of our organization.

He has worked in your facility for the past 26 years and never missed a day of work! Tim is actively involved in continuing education in the ED and teaches the nurses and physicians life support courses to include ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
Tim is dedicated to his profession but even more dedicated to his patients.
He has seen it all in his career, every horrible trauma you can imagine, he has saved many lives and held the hands of those that could not be saved as they leave the world. He has even caught his fair share of babies!
He has gotten IVs that were thought impossible, resuscitated hundreds, laughed and cried with patients and relatives, and even cared for me a few times!
Most importantly, he does it all with great strength, love and compassion and the best sense of humor ever, ask any of his "girls" in the ER. They don't come any better than Tim Blackmon!
