Tim spent the rest of his shift comforting her and assuring her about their stay and care.
At 10:30 a.m., my father was taken from his room for a procedure. A few minutes later, someone brought my mother to the dark, cold surgery waiting room. My father was back in his room at 11:20 a.m. from his procedure. At 1:45 p.m., Tim called me concerned about my mother as she had never returned to their room. I found my 80-year-old mother crying in the dark, cold, and deserted surgery waiting room. No one had ever come to talk to her or noticed that she was upset and alone. Tim not only took care of my father (the patient), but he also rescued my mother. He went beyond his assigned responsibility and looked out for her as well. He spent the rest of his shift comforting her and assuring her about their stay and care. He was exceptional and held the BSA Way and beyond. I would like him recognized in some way.
