Tina is a most outstanding nurse. I have not ever experienced or witnessed such wonderful care. Tina is professional yet compassionate and has a terrific sense of humor. She made sure my mom had consistent care. She made sure to clearly communicate the specifics regarding Mom's vitals and health concerns to those taking over on the next shift so there would be no gap in the level of care. As Mom continued to struggle with nausea, Tina took the time to consult with the physician to look for other alternatives to relieve or at least reduce the nausea. When mom started showing signs of edema, Tina made sure there were compression sleeves to help keep fluids moving.

Not only did Tina address mom's medical needs, she also took time to listen to mom, answer her questions and address her concerns. She also took time to talk to me about my questions and concerns. On one particularly difficult day for me, Tina knew by the look on my face that I was having a tough time. She took the time to literally let me cry on her shoulder, listened and gave much needed dose of encouragement. Tina knew that she was treating a "family" not just a patient. She also knew that she was treating person and not an illness.

Tina's attention to detail, extraordinary compassion, patience, knowledge and experience make her exceptional. Please take the opportunity to recognize Tina for her exceptional efforts. She is truly an asset to Bronson Hospital and a wonderful example of exemplary nursing for those around her.
