Tonya Bey has always been a very caring nurse. I have enjoyed having her watch over me during the night….The care I received before 11 pm was thorough, complete, and done with caring. I felt that I received the highest level of care from Tonya. Many times, although I knew I was not her only patient, she made me feel as though I was. Just her sweet disposition and caring attitude are enough to nominate her for this award. When I compared my treatment with other nurses…I felt that Tonya was treating me special, going above and beyond the standard of care.

As Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said, what you did, but people will not forget how you made them feel.” I am grateful for how Tonya made me feel in what could otherwise have felt like a hopeless situation. Tonya is a leader and credit to 1W staff and I hope management knows how lucky they are to have her here.
