A mother took her very ill 6-year-old to the clinic as he had been very ill the night before. The mother called to verify her son's insurance and the customer service rep. set an appointment after verifying the insurance. On the morning of her son's appointment, the mother reports her son had a very high fever and had gotten sicker. When she went to check her son in, she saw that he did not have an appointment. Nothing was working when trying to sign him in with the confirmation number she had received.

She proved that healthcare professionals truly do care, even if they do not know the patient.
