...According to one of her nominators, the daughter of a recently hospitalized patient, Tracey "is the most fiercely compassionate medical professional we have ever encountered." Her father had been hospitalized several times in the past few months. "My mother and our entire family was incredibly blessed by the outstanding care my Dad received at your hospital. Several of your staff deserve special commendation for the above and beyond care and love they extended to my Father and to our family.
"My Dad was a difficult patient at best. Tracy always managed to get him to cooperate and to smile-not easy tasks. She came in early to check on him, she stayed late and she even came in on her days off to be sure he was properly managed and cared for. As if this was not enough, when my Dad was moved to hospice, Tracy has come to see him every day on her own time every day. Who does that??????? Only a committed and dedicated nurse who is one in a million. She provided some of the most comfortable moments towards the end of Dad's life for which we will be eternally grateful."
...
Her second nomination came from a patient:
Tracey supported me through my bladder cancer treatment. She has changed her schedule, come to work early and changed her vacation days so I could continue my treatment without delay. She has included my family in my care and made sure we understood the information. She helped me maintain a positive outlook."
