Travis was always patient, kind, professional, and continuously searching for new ways to help
Travis Berggren is a fantastic Nurse. He goes above and beyond for each of his patients, as well as assisting his coworkers as much as possible. When Travis is charge, he makes himself available to assist his staff and is excellent in teaching new Nurses and students. Travis consistently goes above the expectations of our unit with his leadership, clinical skills, and compassion. He leads by example with his compassionate, personalized care for each patient as well as the staff.

My husband was hospitalized at Cayuga Medical Center for an extended period, ending in his death. Although the entire staff on the 4 South/Telemetry unit was fantastic, one person stands out above the rest, and that is Travis Berggren. My husband suffered from early-onset Alzheimer's disease, and he could be very challenging to care for due to his dementia, size, and physical strength. I was lucky to be named his support person, and so could often be present to help with his care. Travis was always patient, kind, professional, and continuously searching for new ways to help my husband and me.Travis made sure my husband was showered and shaved every Monday, a very difficult task at times. I was always amazed that he would do this, but Travis would say "It's just the way I would want my loved ones treated."
While I won't miss the hospital setting, I will never forget the phenomenal care that my husband received, and the kindness of the entire staff, especially Travis.
