Trever created a Pirate Treasure Hunt for our son to incentivize him to get out for a walk. Anytime he comes into the room, he found a way to relate to us and lighten the mood with some jokes and stories. Our son came to Primary Children’s with a collapsed lung and has been working on strengthening his lungs and breathing, and Trever has come up with games and challenges to make the regular breathing exercises more fun and something that he wants to do. We are so grateful for the skills and expertise of everyone at this hospital who has helped us, but Trever has been the shining star for us.

Trevor was on top of my son's every need. Whether it was pain medication, puzzles/games to entertain my son or just spending time to chat and joke around with us, Trever's compassion and genuine care for us was always apparent. Trever did all the things a good nurse should do: be attentive, listen, ask good questions, have good attention to details, and show compassion. He also goes above and beyond. He makes a true connection with his patients and their families. He communicates honestly and on the patients' level. He makes you feel like you're hanging out with a friend and lets you forget you're in a hospital.
