I was admitted to 5A late at night as a transfer from another hospital after finding out I was in renal failure and needed dialysis. Twinkle was my nurse that night. She went above and beyond taking care of me and educating me about my new shocking diagnosis since I thought I just had the stomach bug that brought me to the ER that night. She had the reassuring personal touch to calm my worries that I was now at the best place with the best doctors to find out why I, a healthy 29-year-old was in renal failure. When Twinkle's shift was over she came back into my room to wish me best of luck, however, I was down in Ultrasound. Twinkle stayed in my room for 15 minutes talking to my mom, reassuring her that I was in good hands here at Norton's. She explained in a little more detail what was going on with me. Before Twinkle left she asked my mom if she could pray with her for me! That was the sweetest thing she could have ever done, it truly meant a lot to me that she cared that much to pray with my mom. Twinkle even went above and beyond, and even though she was assigned to other units she would stop by my room in 5A to check on me to see how I was feeling! Twinkle is an amazing nurse and deserves to be recognized!
