Nurse Tzu Lan has been working in an operating nursing room for 25 years, and has also been in the operating room of Taiwan Adventist Hospital for 18 years. Although Tzu Lan is not a Christian, whenever she encounters complicated surgery or massive bleeding that endangers the patient's life, she will silently pray for the patient in her heart so that the operation can be carried out and completed smoothly; she also cheers and cares for the patients before the operations. Therefore, she often receives thank you cards from patients.
In terms of work, she has a sense of responsibility and will actively participate in the quality improvement plan implemented by the unit. In 2021-2022, in response to the abnormal pricing of special sanitary materials in the unit, she will also lead the unit to carry out the improvement project of "improving the accuracy of pricing of medical and sanitary materials in the operating room". Participated in the quality competition in the hospital and won first place. She was able to complete the tasks assigned by the supervisor on time and was never sloppy in her work; she also served as a preceptor, a backup teacher in a fire training unit, and the leader of the instrument group in the unit, making good contributions to the unit. For patients, she has empathy, always cares about the patients’ condition, and will chat with the patients, and to help relieve the patients’ nervous emotions. She also does very well in protecting patients’ privacy and skin integrity.
