Valerie Kelley RN is a Nurse Home Visitor for the Nurse-Family Partnership program for Clinton county. Valerie has done an excellent job as NHV with all her clients, she is always going above and beyond her job expectations. demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the Genesis way. One example of her extraordinary dedication and devotion to her clients is the following:

On January 29th one of her clients called her to tell her that "my water broke", Valerie immediately went to the client's home and assisted her to the ED, the client then was admitted to Mercy Hospital's OB unit where after a very short period of time, the client gave birth to triplets. While waiting for the NICU transport team from Iowa City, Valerie remained at the hospital and kept her client informed on the babies' progress, she also arranged, with her supervisor's assistance, trasportation for the babies' father out to Iowa City to be with his babies.

This is not the first time that Valerie has gone above and beyond the call of duty therefore I feel that she deserves this award.
