Vasanthi Devali is one of my pride and joy in my unit and I highly commend her not only the way she works but also in her attitude on how she implements our hospital policy and procedures by the way she patiently communicates with the doctors, staff nurses and other healthcare providers in a way that they will not be offended or misunderstood. I am nominating her due to her outstanding work.
She has excellent communication skills and is good in Arabic. She is welcoming to patients who are wheeled to OR. She initiates a nice talk with them and exerts effort to make them more comfortable. Yesterday we attended a CS emergency case to save the life of the patient and the baby. We ran out of staff. She was the first one to respond to on-call and had never rejected one before. She is not actually included to work on Eid holiday for 1439, but she voluntarily came for duty to help and give assistance for the benefit of our unit even without advantage for her and that really amazes me.
She has an aura that emits positivity and light environment in the workplace that makes the work easy. When I first arrive in OR as a new staff, she was the senior nurse and I observed and noticed her as a very knowledgeable staff in the unit. Those past years she was able to display calmness that radiated her commitment to teach the staff even under that kind of exhausting and pressured situation. She has this appealing personality that makes everyone happy and the environment bright and jolly. Her charisma is overwhelming. She has excellent communication skills and extremely organized and can work independently.
As the best asset in my unit, moreover 30 years life in KSMC she works without complaint and accepts any role that will be given to her. I have always found Vasanthi to be immensely knowledgeable and helpful. She is a role model for others to follow who promotes holistic patient care.
