Veronica is a prime example of work ethic, determination, and passion to make health care better for the population of the state of Qatar. Veronica has ample experience practicing nursing in health care organizations as well as with the US military. She has made an impact on many clients across the Middle East and Africa region and over the recent years has become instrumental for Cerner's success in Qatar. Veronica is a proactive leader, engaging clinicians from the Ministry of Public Health, HMC, and PHCC to match client needs with Cerner's best practices and advocating for the use of the model system and supporting value realization for all projects.
Recently Veronica has stepped into the role to coordinate the strategy and plans to address urgent issues or needs supporting the client to manage the Covid19 pandemic doing a stellar job, as well as always stepping in to support the wider team with clinical knowledge and experience empowering the team to design the best possible solutions for our clients.
Veronica personalizes the mission and vision of Cerner as well as exemplifying the Cerner CMEA Behaviors. Her knowledge of Cerner solutions is second to none. She always seems to have the answers to whatever challenge with which she is faced. Because of this, Veronica is highly respected in the Team - she has time for everybody and regularly interacts with each and every member of the team on a face to face (or, currently, remote) basis.
Veronica is a very 'giving' and 'sharing' person. She gives of herself and shares her knowledge and experiences within Cerner and demonstrates her cultural competence within the region. Her interactions with clients are exemplary, and her relationships with all members of the client team, from Executive suites to front-end workers, lead to greater opportunities for partnership and collaboration to move forward the required solutions which suit the clients' needs.
Veronica is a hard-working role model for the entire CMEA Qatar team. Always ready with a helping hand or a suggestion to improve the delivery of better client and, therefore, patient care. The respect the team has for her is not because of her position but because it has been earned and accumulated since the day she started. Veronica is a 'born nurse' because it is obvious, she cares.
Veronica touches every project in Qatar, and the ones that have gone live during her tenure in Doha are already yielding value. As an example, she was involved in the Capacity Management project which won an innovation award and she has been involved in many others.
Veronica leads by example and we are pleased to have her as an associate, a mentor, a coach, and a friend.
Note: This is Veronica's 2nd DAISY Award!
