Vicky Lai is a perfect example of an outstanding nurse who is conscientious and dedicated to her work in CT Surgery. Her patients love her, and quite frequently she receives accolades from her patients and their families. Her thoughtfulness extends not only to her patients, but her team mates as well—doing things like sharing flowers with staff when she receives them from her patients.

Vicky is driver in the RHC with the Recognition and Retention Committee. She has done a great deal of work offering to volunteer to be the chair for the RHC Heart Walk team and fundraising for the department to increase our donations.
Vicky has also been working to help develop a CT Surgery Program in Vietnam by pulling our CT Surgeons in to support education and learning so that they can develop a VAD/Transplant program there. She is working with our International Nursing Program here at UWMC so that the RHC can be a part of this wonderful opportunity.
Vicky works tirelessly to help others. She is truly a great representative of top-notch UWMC Nursing care. Her kindness, compassion, devotion to her patients, and the amazing energy she brings to RHC is appreciated by many.
