She was very warm and kind, taking the time to listen to my concerns, requests, and ramblings about my medical situation.
The true meaning of Extraordinary is well defined by the word itself. Nurse Grace "Vivian G." was my caregiver for the chemotherapy infusion of the bladder at the Infusion Center of the Cancer Center at Wellstar MCG in Augusta, GA. I have had numerous RNs throughout my treatment so far, and I know what ordinary care is. I have never experienced anything less than excellent nursing care at Wellstar MCG, but when you receive great care, it truly stands out. Nurse Grace is nothing less than highly professional, caring, empathetic, and kind. The entire country is aware that our healthcare system is overburdened and that it is a challenging job dealing with people who are not at their best. I understand how difficult it must be for nurses to deliver extraordinary care consistently throughout their shifts. I could tell Nurse Grace was special from our first interaction. She was very warm and kind, taking the time to listen to my concerns, requests, and ramblings about my medical situation. I can't say enough good things about her and her professionalism. To me, she is an angel, and it makes a massive difference in an extremely physically uncomfortable and awkward medical procedure situation to have an actual heroine taking care of me. Nurses like Grace are appreciated more than they will ever know. Thank you, Grace. Your nursing skills and bedside manner made a significant difference to me, and I thank you.
