The compassionate care, the empathy, the listening, the sharing, the proficiency in all tasks, and the genuine kindness was such a peaceful balm to a semi-nervous patient
I was recently diagnosed with cancer; needless to say, I'm still adjusting to the diagnosis. I needed another biopsy so that the doctors could confirm what type of cancer as well as "stage" the cancer. On the morning of the biopsy I was honored to meet my RN Vivian...an "angel" in disguise! The compassionate care, the empathy, the listening, the sharing, the proficiency in all tasks, and the genuine kindness was such a peaceful balm to a semi-nervous patient...me! Before the biopsy, up to the moment I was taken to have the biopsy, and after the biopsy, Vivian tirelessly gave of herself, going above & beyond RN duties, to make sure I was comfortable, had warm blankets, had fluids to drink, made sure I had "brunch" after the biopsy, and continued to check on me to make sure I was recovering without any problems. What a comfort & strength her compassionate care gave me before, during & after my biopsy. Since I was alone, no family or friends with me or waiting for me, having the extra kindness & empathy from "angel" Vivian was a beautiful, comforting, peaceful & strengthening blessing! She made me feel I was NOT alone after all! My heartfelt thanks to Vivian! Words really cannot express what is in my heart for the great care she gave me in so many various ways! She truly is a very special "angel" sent from God above to bless those of us patients who need the extra care she so willing & freely gives to help us along our medical journey...what a tremendous blessing! Thank you, Vivian! May God richly bless you in all areas of your life!
