Wendy and I worked tenaciously for 12 hours on this one patient, trying to do the best we could to have a positive outcome. Wendy rarely left the patient’s side or room and made numerous calls to doctors, being a total advocate for the patient. She assisted me in every way possible to help me when I was having machine difficulties and always remained calm and focused on tasks that needed to be tended to. She always puts the needs of her patients first before her breaks or leaving the room. Her rooms are always neat, tidy, and organized.

Wendy interacts with the patients themselves about what is going on and their condition. Wendy and I have worked together numerous times in the best of times and not-so-good times, and she never wavers in her "patients come first" attitude. She is dedicated to her duties as a nurse but cares so much for her patients that it does affect her emotionally when all treatment of care has been exhausted.

When I was a new hire at Baptist, she never faltered in showing me around or helping me learn how things are managed here in the ICU. Wendy would take the time to explain things to me that weren’t clear, even though she was busy. She answered every one of my questions, and I have the greatest respect for Wendy and her skill set as an RN.
