Wendy is the kind of nurse every patient wants to have. After my mom’s hip surgery, I met Wendy, who was kind, caring, attentive, supportive, and competent. She answered all my questions with a smile. Enthusiastic and persistent, she sought to provide my mom with the best possible care. I have had the pleasure of interacting with Wendy over the past couple of days, and she is exceptional in every way. She was available to both me and my mom anytime we needed her. Most importantly, she took exceptional care of my mom, treating her as if she were her own mother. Wendy genuinely cares about being the best nurse for her patients, and she excels at it. I asked many questions and made numerous requests, and each time, Wendy was quick to help. When I requested that physical therapy evaluate my mom on the day of her surgery, she explained the process. Upon hearing that PT would see my mom, she shared the good news with us. Wendy went above and beyond in her care for my mom. I made an effort to find her and give her a hug when I left that first night. She is truly special and deserving of recognition.
