Thanks to her exceptional care, I was able to have a positive and empowering birth experience- one that I will always cherish.
Whitney is one of those special nurses who makes work enjoyable and inspires you to be a better employee. She hardly ever complains, takes each assignment with grace and a smile, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. I remember when she was pregnant with twins, mind you, and still pretty far along; yet she was willing to help move patients, assist in emergencies, or go grab someone from the ED when needed. When I am with her during a delivery, I can feel the extra lengths she goes to for her patients; they adore her. They always feel comfortable around her and have a great rapport. They seem to feel safe, trust her, and are pumped up to push their baby out. I recall her soothing demeanor, which helps guide them through their breaths and calm them down. I’ve even seen her jam out with our patients when there's a labor music playlist playing, and it just makes the whole room’s vibe that much better.
Whitney is definitely a leader on our unit, someone many people look up to. She recently volunteered to learn how to be a charge nurse, and I feel we will be in good, organized hands as soon as she completes her orientation. I know she will do her best to take care of the staff and every single patient who walks through our doors. She just always seems like a dependable coworker who will also be there to give you a laugh. She’s not just a leader on our unit, though; she's a wonderful person outside of work. She attends multiple outings to help us engage our staff and get to know each other outside of our scrubs. Whether it’s a bowling night or a bike ride, she is down for a good time with her coworkers. She doesn’t judge and makes you feel seen. She’s a respectable mother and friend. Whitney just has a welcoming and loving presence about her, and again we are in very good hands with her.

Whitney was an exceptional nurse during my induction for the birth of my second child. Planning for a VBAC came with a great deal of anxiety, but from the moment she entered the room, she brought a sense of calm and confidence that reassured me throughout labor. Her unwavering support, kindness, and expertise made all the difference in my experience. She was not only attentive to my medical needs but also deeply in tune with my emotions, ensuring I felt safe and empowered every step of the way. When it came time to push, my anxiety threatened to take over, but Whitney was right there, guiding me through each contraction with steady encouragement. Her reassuring words and presence gave me the strength to keep going, and I truly believe I would not have had a successful VBAC without her. Thanks to her exceptional care, I was able to have a positive and empowering birth experience- one that I will always cherish. Whitney embodies everything a nurse should be: compassionate, knowledgeable, and wholeheartedly dedicated to her patient.
