I have had the privilege of working with Yelena for the past three years. I observe on a daily basis the way Yelena goes above and beyond for each patient she encounters. She treats her patients like family. Whether it is something small, like helping find coupons for patients with expensive prescriptions that they would otherwise not be able to afford, or something big, like comforting a patient during an emergency while they wait for EMS to arrive, she is always patient, empathetic and a calming presence.

Yelena will spend extended time with patients on the phone (sometimes over an hour) or in person during teaching visits, to take the time to explain things and make sure the patient truly understands what they're being told. She teaches patients how to administer new medications to themselves, eases patients’ anxiety after being told their results were abnormal and they need to go for further testing, and uses her extensive knowledge in the GYN field to advise patients on when they should be seen urgently in the emergency room. I have witnessed many patients come back to the office and ask for Yelena specifically, just to thank her for her kindness and express their gratitude. Yelena puts her whole heart into every patient interaction, making them feel understood and cared for, and her daily acts of kindness and compassion positively impact their lives.
