Yirgalem Ghelbreslasse was my nurse for several shifts and also during my discharge. She was consistently professional, showing kindness to me, my visitors and my family. She possesses a unique blend of being professional and personable, which helped me greatly in my recovery. She took time to explain the many materials and instruct me in my insulin therapy and learning to give myself shots. During my discharge, she took time to explain my medicines and extended therapy. She was quick to answer my questions and coordinate well with the 3 doctors, diabetes staff and therapy medicines. She took time to explain changes in my condition to the next shift nurse and to my family members. I think she deserves recognition for her professionalism and experience. She works hard to keep her patients comfortable, well informed and up to date on what is happening with their care.
