Yusuf was the nurse assigned to my daughter for the night. During her treatments administered by a 3rd party, I noticed her pupils were dilated. I asked if this was because of the medication, I was told no, and told Yusuf what I saw. He immediately started checking everything on her, and when he knew something was not right he called for immediate support. When the first person came into the room he explained everything that had happened and was still very focused on my daughter. In a few seconds, the blue alarm was activated and PICU rushed to our room. Yusuf remained in charge and explained everything. At one point he noticed I was upset and yelled for someone to be with me. He was with us as my daughter was rushed up to PICU and remained to assess until that team took our daughter. Before he left us, he came to me and explained what happened. Because he listened to me saying something was not the norm with my daughter, he sprang into action so fast. I probably would have a different story to tell, otherwise. I truly appreciate the kindness and care he showed toward us.
