Yvonne Frazier is extraordinary in everything I've witnessed, both in person and on the phone. She demonstrated each of the I CARE principles on every contact. It all started after I had to go to the Emergency Room at a facility in Starke, FL I had a severe case of indigestion and nausea which scared me and my wife because of my family history of heart problems. I was at the ER on Thursday night and called my VA Doctor on Monday to advise of my situation. This was my first encounter with Yvonne. She was very understanding, concerned, and helpful. She suggested that I return to the ER and sign so my records could be sent to the VA. She also had the Pharmacist call me personally because I had questions about the two meds prescribed from my ER visit.
After her review, she called me and discussed my situation. She had me come to the clinic for a follow-up EKS since the ER records only mentioned the indigestion problem, and I was concerned about the heart. I went today for my regular appointment with my doctor. She recognized me in the lobby and was prompt to call me prior to the doctor visit. She was again the ultimate professional who demonstrated her genuine concern. I know all of this seems to be routine and it is, but as a patient in a special situation, she gave me hope, respect, and sound advice. Yvonne didn't make me feel like a number but rather she was someone who seemed to go out of their way to show they really cared. She demonstrated an exceptional Caring Attitude. I'm grateful for the people like Yvonne at my VA.
