Zach listens and hears your concerns, shows empathy, compassion, humor, and has professional knowledge of a situation while caring for the patient’s needs simultaneously.
Zach is a very special person and nurse. Unfortunately, my daughter has had many admissions to almost all surrounding hospitals. Zach is above and beyond everyone else. He listens and hears your concerns, shows empathy, compassion, humor, and has professional knowledge of a situation while caring for the patient’s needs simultaneously. I don’t think I have ever met a person more adept/in-tune and able to connect so quickly with people. This is now our fourth day in ICU, so I have seen him interacting with other patients and coworkers and he is putting this great emotional labor forth for literally every person he meets. These qualities are extremely rare in people and Zach manages this rarity effortlessly it seems. But he IS putting in A LOT of it. Having a good/great nurse makes the biggest difference in an admission to the hospital.
Today, Zach is off and spending time with his own family, and he is missed heavily by us, and positively by his other patients as well. I am more informed and supported as patient support with Zach on the floor. Zach H is the absolute BLUEPRINT for all nurses everywhere. Well done on finding and excelling at what you are passionate about. Thank you, Zach- always.

Today, after church I went to see my mom. God knows what you need and when you need it. I needed a word. I needed facts. I needed communication. And as I watch Zach Hatton love on my momma, truly care for her, listen to her needs and y'all BLESS HIS HEART...deal with my 59 million questions, and instead of being irritated, he patiently answered every single one. Thanks to Zach, my dad, my sister, and I feel a lot better tonight. God is always on time and he places people in your path when you need it. Healthcare workers are TIRED but my goodness are they superheroes. So, tonight, in my utterly exhausted state...I just have to say...God is always, always, ALWAYS ON TIME!!! Whether it's a word at church or just someone showing empathy and compassion...God will put people in your path that show that God is present...He knows exactly where you're at...and what you need to keep pushing and keep the faith.
